The first thing I would like to say is, I don't know art, but I know what I like. And I must say I like your Deadspace Journal Skin. I love just about anything having to do with astronomical objects; I especially liked this background with its darker colors and the bright highlights. Additionally, I like the other thumbnails that were placed in this journal but I must say the macro photograph of the flower is a bit out of place as far as subject matter is concerned. Additionally, I like the font that you've selected for this it is simple and easy to read; I feel that too many times people try to over do their work with fancy fonts or frills which becomes too cluttered or difficult to read. Also the color that you have chosen for your font is a nice mild contrast, which makes it easy to read although I'm quite sure that you didn't have colorblind people in mind when designing this, there are some color combinations that are actually almost impossible to read for those of us who have visual color deficiencies. One last thing I would like to mention, the design in the upper left corner is absolutely wild, I love it!
As a side note, I would like to say that I thought that your Deep Blue CSS was superb.
Thank you very much for taking the time to write this . I agree entirely with what you said. The macro flower is a bit out of context but then again the content is up to you so like the lipsum its just for demonstrating purposes. And indeed I didn't take colour-blindness into account with the design. I tried desaturating the current design and you're right. Its impossible to tell regular text from links until hovered over. A good point, I will try to make work of this more often
